Timber Frame Kit Fabrication Packages ("Panel Drawings")
One of the lynch-pins of cost-effective timber-frame construction is the use by kit manufacturers of computer-generated and engineered drawing packages which accurately translate builders / architects / clients ideas, drawings and construction details into buildable timber sub-assemblies and components for delivery to and erection on site. Kit design drawing packages prepared by Amcadd Graphics include:
Structural floor platform set-out, with 'cut-to-fit' timber scheduling.
Wall panel set-out (floor by floor).
Roof truss set-out (in conjunction with the selected licensed truss manufacturer).
Roof truss profiles for truss design.
Panel-by-panel elevations for factory manufacture, incorporating all structural implications, openings, loading considerations, and dimensions.
Amcadd Graphics can work openly, providing a bespoke customised service for small joinery firms building one house, through to seamless subcontracting for major manufacturers and housebuilders with their own logo and house-style on all drawings, either under one-off, renewable term, or overspill arrangements, with pre-agreed fee rates. Turn-round times are usually about 10-15 working days, depending on complexity and completeness of input information. One of the major, yet often unheralded, spin-offs of this service is the 'de-bugging' or 'sorting out' of incomplete architectural or structural drawings and flagging up unbuildable designs - better now than on site with tradesmen standing waiting!. Self-builders (individuals or groups) are similarly catered for, with advice on manufacturing / erection techniques always available by telephone, fax, e-mail or personal visit.
Thanks to our AutoCad-based CAD software, we cater especially for those one-off designs that are almost impossible to set up on a CAD fabrication package such as MBA. We also welcome enquiries from kit manufacturers who may already have full CAD drawing office facilities, to take on those complex contracts which they may otherwise not tender for.
If your architect can draw it, then we can design a timber frame for it ......

In addition, specification / erection manuals and 'standard' construction details can be prepared, either from our own extensive drawings library, or specially drawn to suit local practices or unusual designs. Details are updated to suit individual requirements or changes in legislation, and can be printed, bound, and distributed to order. Enquiries to email@example.com
